昨 今の音楽シーンは様々な「ジャンル」にカテゴライズされていますが、私達はマスメディアが商業化の為に作り上げた「ジャンル」が音楽の陳腐化を加速させて しまったのではないか？と考えております。音楽を作る側にルールは存在しないのに、マスメディアやリスナーがジャンルという枠にはめ込んでしまい、音楽を つまらなくしてしまっている昨今のダンスミュージックシーンに我々はNOを突きつけます。
abstract loungeはありとあらゆるスタイルを様々なビートと共に発信し、独自の世界観を表現するDJ・Artistと新しい刺激を求めるリスナーの皆様との交 流会です。あたかも映画を見ているような感覚を皆様に楽しんで頂き「抽象的」「叙情的」なサウンドとドラマティックなサウンドスケープをご堪能下さい。

Kawabata (Drumpoet Community)

そ の卓抜なセンスでチューリッヒのシーンを牽引しているKawabataことAlex Storrer。10代の頃Depeche Modeに執心した後、ホワイトジーンズとワラビーを履いてクラブへと繰り出した彼は、Herb Alpertの"Rotation" をはじめとしたDisco、Hip Hop、初期のHouseの全盛期にDJを開始した。
90年代から地元のヒップホップユニットに携わり、 2002年にはHeadmanのRelishから初の作品をリリース。2004年からはチューリッヒの伝説のクラブとして今もなお語り続けられる Dachkanrineにて、2006年のクローズまでレジデントDJとして活躍。現在はチューリッヒの新鋭クラブ「Zukunft」にてレジデントを勤 め、Disco、Deep HouseからTechnoまで幅広いレンジをカバーするDJとして高い人気を誇っている。プロデューサーとしてはLexx名義でPerment vacationやBear Funk,Late Night Audioなどといったレーベルでリリースを重ね、Kawabata名義ではよりハウスやテクノの影響が色濃い作品をスイスのハウスレーベル Drumport Communityから発表し、注目を集めてきた。
近年、ラジオショーなどを通して国際的な名声を得た彼は、ホームタウンのチューリッヒのみならずベルリン、ロンドンまで活動の幅を展開。現在２０１０年にリリース予定のアルバムを制作中である。
 
 
Kawabata (Drumpoet Community)

Alex Storrer alias Lexx is one of Zurich's finest. His musical adventures began in his early teenage years. After being a die-hard Depeche Mode fan in the 80's, he stumbled equipped with white jeans and soft Wallabees across clubs and DJs that hosted a variety of stone cold sounds. Herb Alpert's "Rotation" was on the menu as well as other sweets consisting of Disco, Hip Hop and early House. They used to call it dance music...and that is what people did to it.
After getting involved into production work for local Hip Hop Acts in the 90's he released a 10-inch with his first Disco edit for Headman's Relish label, followed by an album of instrumental tracks in 2002. He was also a Resident DJ at the now legendary Club Dachkantine in Zürich from 2004 till the closing in 2006. These days, he spins a wide range of Music from Disco, Balearic, Deeper House to Techno and is one of the Resident DJ at the fresh and infamous Zurich Club "Zukunft" (future) which will be his anyway. He releases Records under the Lexx disguise for Labels such as Permanent Vacation, Bear Funk and Late Night Audio and his more House & Techno influenced Productions under the Projectname Kawabata for the Drumpoet Community Label. Within the last 5 years he earned himself a top reputation within the International Dj circuit, with Mixes on Beats In Space (New York), a Mistery Mix on Bill Brewsters DjHistory.com, regular gigs in London and Berlin, a Japan Tour in 2009 and of course on a weekly basis in his hometown Zürich Switzerland. At the moment he's working on an Album that is due to be released in 2010.
